Greater Sacramento

Why did you choose the Greater Sacramento region to do business?

Greater Sacramento is home to the capital of California, which is the world’s fifth largest economy and the nation’s top agricultural producer. That’s one of the main reasons why MyFloraDNA has decided to establish its headquarters here. A diverse business mix, world-class universities and proximity to lawmakers make Sacramento County a premier location for our business. The Greater Sacramento region is a leader in the 21st century economy with growing advanced agriculture, food and life sciences industries. It is the perfect fit for our startup.

What are the benefits of living and doing business in the Greater Sacramento region?

One of the major advantages of being established in Sacramento is that we are near San Francisco and Silicon Valley, Oregon and one of the most important agronomic regions in the world — San Joaquin and Napa Valley.

Sacramento has also afforded us the following business advantages:

  • Pro-business policies including incentives, fast-tracked permitting and environmental assistance
  • Low utility rates
  • Low land, development and labor costs
  • Numerous shovel-ready sites

Why do you choose to do business in California over other states?

For an ag company like ours it’s important to be near the main agricultural regions in California. The Emerald Triangle to the North is a major cannabis production area. Its proximity offers us the opportunity to enter the industry. It’s also advantageous for us to be nearby San Joaquin Valley and Southern California, some of the most agricultural and biotechnological regions in the world.
